Ruby says it's okay to call the blogosphere "the 'sphere." I didn't believe her. Then she showed me how Doc is doing it. Now I think it's okay.

In our cyber-universe of flash-news, it's nice to read a thorough write-up of a still-breaking story, like Farhad Manjoo's primer on the Rove/Plame/blame/shame in Salon. I tend to agree with former ambassador Joseph Wilson that someone ought to be frog-marched out of the White House in handcuffs for the Plame leak. Unlikely, I know. But a girl can dream.

The president may have connections we don't know about. According to his comments the morning of the London bombing, he can commune with the afterworld. "I spent some time recently with the prime minister, Tony Blair," he said Thursday, continuing subjectlessly "...had the opportunity to express our heartfelt condolences to the people of London, people who lost lives." Jeez I wonder what those people who lost lives told him. Do they know where my good pen got to? Or if Shakespeare was really five women? The full Bush statement is here.
