Blogger Paul Levinson calls the 3-4 censor cutaways “heavyhanded,” and he’s probably right (though a little knee-jerk).
But you gotta hand it to David Chase, who managed to get in his own anti-administration dig without tripping the alarm:

“In essence, this is a story about a gangster, and a gangster out there taking their kid to college, and taking their kids to school, and putting food on the table. And hell let’s face it. If this world and this nation was run by gangsters. … Maybe it is, I don’t know.”
